Edward M. Ake
Edward M. Ake, age 82 of East Canton, died Sunday July 24, 2005 in his home. Son of the late Robert and Barbara (Horst) Ake. He was a 1941 graduate of Canton South High School and had resided in East Canton for the past 51 years. Edward retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1988 after 40 years of service, and was a WWII Navy Veteran. Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2374, Louisville. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian (Finn) Ake in 1990 to whom he was married 41 years. Survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and John Rubis of North Canton, Tammy Ake and her fiance, David Varian of East Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Edward and Joni Ake of Louisville; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother. A Memorial Service will be Wednesday at 1pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Andy Hamilton officiating. Inurnment will be in Bergholz Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
