Edsel P. Harper
Edsel P. Harper, age 79, of East Canton, died unexpectedly Saturday March 11, 2006 in Aultman Hospital. He was born December 22, 1926 in Riverton, WV, to the late Jason and Nela (Day) Harper. Edsel was an East Canton resident since 1962, retiring from Heckett Engineers in 1989 after many years of service. He is also preceded in death by two sisters and an infant brother. Survived by his wife, Gae M. Harper to whom he was married 51 years; two sons, David Harper of the home, Jeff Harper of Louisville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Darlene and Ron Johnson of Minerva, Denise Harper of the home; three grandchildren, Ron (Jamie) Johnson, Pamela (Matt) Ogden, Ashley Johnson; two great grandchildren, Owen Johnson and Kiraney Ogden; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Leva Harper of Warren, OH, Roberta and Quinton Bennett, Lona and Robert Hinkle all of Riverton, WV. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:00pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor James L. Snyder officiating. Internment in Mapleton Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8pm in the funeral home.
