Edna M. Reed
Edna M. Reed, age 84, of East Canton, died Monday October 23, 2006 in Hennis Care Centre, Bolivar. She was born April 22, 1922 in Dalton, OH. to the late Nicklas and Laura (Kampf) Fahrni. She was a 1940 graduate of Dalton High School and an East Canton resident for 45 years. She retired from the Canton City Police Department Crime Lab in 1985 after 10 years of service. Edna was a member of the East Canton Church of God where she was active with the Women of the Church of God, served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years and a member of the Loyal Workers Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William B. Reed in 1968; an infant son; three brothers, Glenn, Carl and Marion Fahrni; three sisters, Freda Sword, Betty Spry and Emma Stocksdale; one son-in-law, Paul Ornounski. She is survived by five daughters and sons-in-law, Dian Ornounski of Canton, Brenda and Lee Fuller of East Canton, Margaret and Paul Lattavo of East Canton, Debbie and Jim Frey of Louisville, Dina and Pete Vliet of Navarre; two sons, Scott Reed of South Carolina, Mark Reed of N. Canton; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; four brothers, Albert, Jim, Raymond and Danny Fahrni; one sister, Martha Sallo. Funeral services will be Thursday October 26, 2006 at 11:00am in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor James L. Snyder officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8pm in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services at the church on Thursday (10-11am).
