Edna Marie Dawson

Age 100, of North Canton, passed away Wednesday January 2, 2019 in St. Joseph Senior Living. She was born December 6, 1918 to the late Otto and Grace Thouvenin. Edna was preceded in death by her husband, George R. Dawson on July 30, 2007; her daughter, Teresa “Terri” Pellegrene; two sisters, Pearl Creighton and Mildred Baker; one brother, Eugene Thouvenin. Edna had attended Canton Township High School. When her husband joined the Navy, she served her country by becoming a Rosie the Riveter; training other Rosie’s to rivet and drill at Burger Aircraft. This angel on earth lived to care, lovingly for all who touched her life. She will be missed by her daughter, Bonita L. (Ken) Ogden; son, Robert P. (Fran) Dawson and James (Diane) Pellegrene; grandchildren, Christopher, Debra, Angela and Kimberly Ogden, Brian and Ashley Dawson, Jennifer (Eric) Williams, Tiffany (Kyle) Zingg, Brittany and Giovani Pellegrene; great-grandchildren, Connor, Cheyanne, Curtis, Maria, Taylor, Lyndsie, Greyson and Brielle; her many friends, wonderful neighbors, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday January 5, 2019 at 10:00am in St. Peter Catholic Church, Canton, where the procession will form, with Fr. John E. Sheridan as celebrant. Burial will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends and family will be received Friday 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S.
