Edith M. "Dee" Weber
Edith M. "Dee" Weber, age 66, of East Sparta, OH, passed way Friday July 18, 2008 in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 7, 1942 in Canton to the late Carl and Rose (France) Ramuno. Edith was a life resident of the Canton and East Sparta area. She was a 1960 graduate of Timken High School and a graduate of Kent State University. Edith retired from Sandy Valley Local Schools in 2003 where she served as a 6th grade science teacher for 22 years. Member of St. Mary's of Morges Catholic Church where she had served as an organist as well as playing for several other churches in the area. She was a member of Gold Wing Road Riders Association, 40 plus Motorcycle Club, Ohio Educators Association, the National Educators Association, and past president of the Sandy Valley Teachers Association. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Cheryl Lynn Weber in 1979. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Weber to whom she was married 44 years; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan Kay and Joseph Sciury of East Sparta; two grandchildren, Dakota and Halie Sciury; one sister and brother-in-law, Janet and John Ross of Canton; one uncle; several nieces, nephews and cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday July 22, 2008 at 10:00am in St. Mary's of Morges Catholic Church with Fr. Joseph Zamray as celebrant. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery.
