Edith A. Hester, age 73, of Canton died Sunday, December 10, 2006 in Mercy Medical Center following an extended illness. Born December 9, 1933 in Canton, OH. to the late Ross H. and E. Pearl (Young) Shaffer. Edith was a life resident of Canton and retired from the Hoover Company after 35 years of service. Preceded in death by one son, Ross Hester; one sister, Juanita Dusz. Survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Carol and Gary Grimes of Canton and Conni Hester; one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Charita Hester of California; four grandchildren; one brother, Robert Shaffer; three nieces of Kansas. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no other services. Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. in charge of arrangements.
