Earl E. "Bud" Schlub
Age 95, of Canton, passed away Tuesday morning, May 20, 2014 in Hennis Care, Bolivar following a brief illness. He was born April 16, 1919 to the late Edward and Marie (Schaeffer) Schlub. Bud was a 1937 graduate of McKinley High School and retired from Superior Switchboard and Devices after 43 years of service. He was a member of First Church of the Resurrection in Canton. Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Forester) Schlub on April 17, 2011 to whom he celebrated 71 years of marriage; also preceded by two sisters, Doris Maurer and Arline Schneider. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Joe Brooks of Bolivar; several nieces and nephews; his special caregiver for the past three years, Deb Bonam of East Canton. The family would like to say a special "thank you" to all the caregivers who took excellent care of him during his three week stay at Hennis Care in Bolivar. A special thank you to his Hospice nurse, Heather and his Hospice aide Jennifer for all their care and compassion. Funeral services will be Friday May 23, 2014 at 1:30pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Bruce Mont officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to First Church of the Resurrection, 901 E. Tuscarawas St, Canton, OH, 44707 or Aultman Hospice.
