Age 60, of Canton a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Born August 13, 1955 in Canton, Ohio to Paul and Donna (Paumier) Upperman. He was a life resident of Canton/ Louisville area and retired from IBEW Local #540 with 38 years of service. He was a member of High Mill Church of the Resurrection and FOE McKinley Erie #2370. Douglas was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord, an avid golfer and always willing to put others before himself and help anyone in need. Preceded in death by his father, Paul Upperman. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Dede (Harbaugh) Upperman; two sons, Brad and Brian Upperman; one grandson, Nicholas Upperman; his mother, Donna Upperman; two brothers and sister-in-law, Dave and Dawn Upperman, Dan Upperman; two sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra and Curt Bilcze, Sally Upperman; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 30, 2015 at 11:00 am in High Mill Church of the Resurrection, 1920 Schneider St NE, Canton, OH. 44721, with Pastor Chuck Schumacher and Pastor Noah Schumacher officiating. Interment in German Cemetery, Mineral City. Friends may call Sunday from 2-5 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday from 10-11 am.
