Douglas K. Lane, age 54, of Canton died unexpectedly in his home Saturday, December 27, 2008. Born January 27, 1954 in Carrollton, OH. to Jesse W. and Martha L.(Nieder) Lane. He was a life resident of Canton and a graduate of Canton Lehman High School. Douglas was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was employed by Dover Chemical for the past five years and was formerly employed by Lukins Steel in Massillon for 23 years. Preceded in death by one sister, Diedra Lane. Survived by his wife of 16 years, Laurie A. (Huff) Lane; four daughters, Tonya Dieter of Canton, Sara Lane of Canton, Laurie Roth of Midvale, Crystal Phillips of Georgia; four sons, Jimmy Barbie of New Philadelphia, Christopher Lane of Ft. Knox, KY, Stephen Lane of Ft. Lee, VA, Nicholas Lane of Canton; grandchildren, Angelica and Blaine of Canton and three other grandchildren; parents, Jesse and Martha Lane of Kensington; one brother, Darrol Lane of Canton; one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Jeff Hammel of Alabama. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Friends may call Monday from 6 – 8 pm.
