Douglas F. Hofsteter, age 44, of Navarre, OH, died Friday, February 4, 2005 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. Born on March 12, 1960 in Massillon, OH. He was a resident of Richland Hills, TX for 25 years and more recently of Navarre. Employed as a heavy equipment operator for Kanza Construction in Texas and attended Otterbein United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his grandparents, Mildred Thompson, Lucille and Merle Hofsteter, and stepfather, James Livengood. Survived by a daughter, Jamilyn Hofsteter of Richland Hills, TX; stepson Henry Chase Amyett of Hewitt, TX; mother Jeanne Livengood of Navarre, OH; father and stepmother Franklin and Dianne Hofsteter of Richland Hills, TX; one sister, Cindy Henry of Navarre; five stepsisters, Shelby and Kimberly Hofsteter, both of Richland Hills TX. Judy Pafford of Kentucky, Kaye Harmon of Maryland, and Kim Burchett of Kentucky; one niece, Jyl Henry of Navarre; one nephew, Jason Henry of Canton. Funeral services will be Monday, February 7, 2005 at 7pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave, Canton, Ohio with Revs. Phil Raynes and Paul Gerycz officiating. Friends may call one hour before the service on Monday (6-7 pm). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice Program, 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.
