Age 65, of Canton died unexpectedly on Monday, December 27, 2021. Born October 13, 1956 in Canton, Ohio to the late Jack and Glenna (Roshong) Gauze. He was a life resident of Canton and a 1974 graduate of Canton Lincoln High School. Doug was employed by the Timken Company. He was a member of the J. Babe Stearn Community Center and Steel Workers Union #1123. Doug enjoyed long car rides with his wife, Teresa, coaching his sons in Mighty Mites Baseball, watching his grandchildren play sports and golfing with his family and friends. Preceded in death by a daughter, Sarah Faye Gauze. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Teresa D. (Hebb) Gauze; three sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas Jr and Jennifer Gauze, Daniel and Katie Gauze, Josh Gauze; five grandchildren, Blake, Lucas, Natalie, Nolan and Stella; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec 30, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call on hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am.
