Douglas J. Collinsworth, age 84, passed away on December 25, 2023. He was born on December 6, 1939, in Magoffin County, Kentucky, to William Samuel Sr and Hazel (Williams) Collinsworth.
Douglas served in the United States Army along with the National Guard. He spent over 36 years with the Ford Motor Company, upon which he retired as a proud member of the UAW. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with his family, especially his loving wife Yoni.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Hoyon “Yoni” Collinsworth; daughter, Julie (Jesse) Collinsworth-Oney; stepsons, Kevin Hively and Randy (Anitra) Hively; granddaughters, Taylor Bragg, Katie (Josh) Lee and Kristin (Steve) Merrick; step-grandsons, Alex and Colin Hively; greatgrandchildren, Emma Sue, Jeffrey Lee , Willow Merrick, and Lulu Bragg; daughter in law, Terri Collinsworth; along with 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son David, two brothers Charles and William Jr, a sister Jean Beck and a grandson Tyler Bragg.
Calling hours will be on Saturday, December 30th, at Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. The funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, and the interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
