Dorothy M. Wenger
Age 96, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 following a period of declining health. She was born in Mapleton, OH. November 18, 1914 to the late Otto and Della (Bentzel) Wuske. She lived most of her life in Canton. Dorothy was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church and was a former cafeteria cook in Canton Local Schools. She was married to the late John Wenger, who passed January 1, 1994 at the age of 84 after celebrating 59 years of marriage. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Helen Wuske, Gladys Gerber, Berniece Pry and Elna Williams; two brothers, Robert and Don Wuske. Survived by three children, J. Ted Wenger (Barbara), Dr. Terrence Wenger (Judy) and Bonnie Reicosky (Dr. David); seven grandchildren, Jeff Wenger, Jennifer Wenger Elliott (Dennis), Dr. Ryan Wenger (Maureen), Renee Wenger Bitto (Mark), Dr. Reid Wenger (Anna), Dr. Michelle Reicosky Brewer (Michael) and Tiffany Reicosky; nine great grandchildren, Jared, Brandon and Tyler Wenger; Kyle and Abigail Kiko; Andrew, John Thomas and Kevin Wenger, Michael Wenger, Morgan Bitto and Kyla Brewer; five step-great grandchildren, Dennis , Jr., Brandon, Kristyn, Joshua and Jordan Elliott; two sisters, Florence Brown and Della Hartong. Funeral services will be Friday, April 29, 2011 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Rev. Carolyn Nichols officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 pm. Memorial donations may be made to Epworth United Methodist Church, 2150 17th St. SE, Canton, OH. 44707.
