Dorothy J. Potter, age 80, of Canton, died Monday, September 20, 2004 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Daughter of the late Alfred and Helen (Mosley) White. She was a Canton area resident most of her life. Dorothy loved to crochet, embroider and play Bingo. She is also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Henry and William White; four sisters Helen Kowalewski, Charlotte Rhodes and twin sisters, Edith and Ethel White. She is survived by her husband, Donald G. Potter, to whom she was married 58 years; five children and their spouses, Garry and Karen Kirsch of Mystic, CT, Terry and Brenda Potter of East Sparta, Rev. Donald E. Potter of Mechanicsburg, PA, David and Sue Dedmon of Navarre, Jeff and Donna Umstead of Canton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, George White of Venus, FL; one loving sister, Marie Lombardi of Canton, and very dear and close friends, Marilyn and Donna B. Services will be Friday at 1:30 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Chaplain Paul Rudy officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 pm in the funeral home and one hour before services on Friday (12:30-1:30pm). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, Ohio 44708.
