Dorothy E. Moyer
Age 93, of Canton, passed away Thursday February 23, 2017 in Brookdale Nursing Home. She was born May 9, 1923 in Barnesville, OH to the late William D. and Kathryn (Denney) Powell. Dorothy was a Canton resident since 1978 and retired from Pacific Telephone after 23 years of service. She was a member of Southwest Church of Christ, VFW Auxiliary in Barnesville and a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moyer; three sisters, Margaret Grant, Alma Jones and Virginia Newlin. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Sunday February 26, 2017 at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Ralph Shipp and John Lamielle officiating. Friends will be received one hour before services on Sunday (1-2pm). A private burial will be in Southern Cemetery, Barnesville, OH.
