Dorothy M. McKinney
Age 94, died April 24, 2016 in Aultman Compassionate Care Center following a brief illness. Dorothy was born in Middlebranch, Ohio daughter of the late Curtis and Ollie (Elsass) Seibert. Later her family moved to East Sparta where she attended school and was a 1939 graduate of East Sparta High School. Dorothy retired in 1981 from Amos McDannel Grade School where she worked as a cafeteria helper for 23 years. She was a long time, faithful member of North Industry Christian Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Clarence McKinney in 2002 to whom she was married 62 years; her daughter, Linda Matthews, in 1980; two sisters, Vera Gross and Opal Dieringer; one brother, Ralph E. Seibert. Dorothy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Judy McKinney; grandchildren, Bryan (Judi) McKinney, Lisa McKinney, Kristopher McKinney, Scott Matthews and Kim Gray; five great-grandchildren, Kendra, Zachary, Adrianna, Ricky and Jennifer; two great-great grandchildren, Landon and Liam. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Aultman Compassionate Care Center for their kindness and loving care of our mother and grandmother. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 12:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Thursday from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to North Industry Christian Church, 425 – 45th Street SW, Canton, OH. 44706.
