Dorothy J. King
Age 97, of East Canton, passed away Saturday March 19, 2016 in Mercy Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1918 in Canton Township to the late Ova Jasper and Elmira (Sickafoose) Kintigh. Dorothy was a member of Moreland Christian Church and AARP. She formerly served as a 4-H advisor, was an avid gardener, enjoyed growing flowers and trips with her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ferdinand R. King in 1980; one son, Russell King in 1969; two brothers, Garald and Dwayne Kintigh. Dorothy is survived by four children and their spouses, James and Nancy King, Shelva and Dale Kuhl, Nancy King, Bonnie and Jonathan Peterson; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Jean Kintigh; one sister, Betty Hartman; one sister-in-law, Helen Kintigh. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 22, 2016 at 1:30pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Gene Carter officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
