Dorothy M. Filliez
Age 81, of Canton, passed away Sunday March 9, 2014 in her daughter's home. She was born November 29, 1932 in Canton to the late Albert and Elinore (Friesel) Clapper. Dorothy was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1951 graduate of Canton South High School. She was a member of Trinity Brethren Church where she was active with the Senior Women's Ministry Group. She was a member of the Canton South AARP where she had served as travel director and as an officer. She is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Filliez in 1995; two sisters, Pearl Pelligrino and Zoe Ann Barwick; three brothers, Albert Jr., Walter and Donald Clapper. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Dennis Kovach of Canton, Lisa and Doug Dolvin of Tipp City, OH; four grandchildren, James (Kathi) Kovach, Brandon Kovach, Jennifer Dolvin and Paul Dolvin; four great-grandchildren, Anna and Allie Kovach, Kaylee and Brady Kovach; two brothers and sister-in-law, Roger and Rosie Clapper of California, John Clapper of Florida; a sister-in-law, Irene "Evelyn" Clapper of Canton; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Friday March 14, 2014 at 10:00am in Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Cherry officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
