Dorothea A. Motter
Age 91, of East Sparta died peacefully Monday, December 6, 2010 in Louisville Center following an extended illness. Born July 14, 1919 in Canton to Charles and Florence (Vogley) Lungren. She was an East Sparta resident most of her life and a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. Dorothea was formerly employed by Leatherman Seed Company and the Stark County Election Board. She is preceded in death by her father, Charles Lungren; mother and step-father, Florence and R.E. Craig; her husband to whom she was married for 60 years, Robert H. Motter in 2000; one son, Gary Motter; two sisters, Lura Branstrom and Annabelle Schmuttenmaer. Survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Cherie and Frank Dugan of Magnolia; one son, James Motter of East Sparta; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; seven step-great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Dolly Cairns of East Sparta, Floredda and Rev. Robert Wagner of Cuyahoga Falls; numerous nieces and nephews; a special niece, Patricia Heiser. It was Dorothea's wishes to be cremated and there will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
