Doris L. (Russell) Haines
Age 80, of Canton, passed away Thursday April 14, 2011 in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. She was born August 26, 1930 in Byesville, OH to the late Albert and Olive (Knight) Russell. Doris was a Canton area resident most of her life. Always most important to Doris was spending time with her family. She brightened many people's birthdays and weddings with her beautiful hand decorated cakes. She continued helping others through many years of volunteering at McKinley Life Care and Danbury of North Canton. When she was unable to continue her volunteer services she blessed many new babies with beautiful needle point blankets. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Bernard Hoskinson; second husband, Lyle Richard Haines; one son, Blaine Hoskinson; two sisters, Helen Albritian and Roberta Morris; two brothers, Earl and Roy Russell. She is survived by five children and their spouses, Bernie and Judy Hoskinson , Roger Hoskinson, Nancy and Jeff Reed, Leonard and Melody Hoskinson, Carol and Chris Zilko; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mary Frakes. Funeral services will be Monday April 18, 2011 at 10:00am in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Pastor Mike Zellers officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
