Doris L. Duncan
Age 86, of Canton, died Saturday March 19, 2016 in Aultman Hospital following a brief illness. She was born February 11, 1930 in North Industry, Ohio to the late Harrold and Susie (Domer) Heid. She was a life resident of Canton Township. Doris was a member of Eden Church of the Brethren for more than 80 years where she had served as Sunday School Secretary, Deaconess and Treasurer. Doris and her husband were avid travelers, together they traveled to 42 countries and 49 states. She enjoyed time with her family, gardening and playing cards. Doris was a past member of the Canton Mother of Twin’s Club, Eastern Star and the Red Hat Society. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Duncan Jr. to whom she was married 65 years; an infant daughter, Carolyn Sue Duncan; one brother, Clifford Heid; one sister, Mary Perry. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sue and Anthony Peldunas Jr of N. Canton; one son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Durane Duncan of Canton; four grandchildren, Jennifer Duncan, Scott (Carrie) Duncan, Anthony Peldunas III and Andrew Peldunas; three great-grandchildren, Richard, Jacob and Samuel Duncan; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday March 23, 2016 at 11:00am in the Eden Church of the Brethren. Burial will be in Eden Church Cemetery. Friends will be received Tuesday 5-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home and one hour before services on Wednesday at the church (10-11am).
