Dora Ellen Murphy
age 78, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday February 9, 2010 in Aultman Hospital. She was born May 14, 1931 in Morgantown, WV. to the late Herschel and Ethel Lanham. Dora was a Canton area resident for 42 years and a member of the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle where she had served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Robert Murphy and James L. Murphy II. She is survived by her husband, James L. Murphy to whom she would have been married 62 years in September; three children and their spouses, Douglas and Betty Murphy of Canton, Barbara and Ron Doll of Canton, Jeffrey R. Murphy of Minnesota; four grandchildren and spouses, Jennifer and Brian Frenz, Steve and Melissa Murphy, Jesse and Cynthia Doll, Joshua Doll; three great-grandchildren, Stevie Frenz, Emma and Molly Murphy; one sister, Anna Mae Gamble of Salem, OH. Funeral services will be Friday February 12, 2010 at 11:00am in the Apostolic Lighthouse Tabernacle with Rev. Harold Strange officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
