Donald I. Weaver, age 80, of Perry Township, passed away Tuesday September 18, 2007 in his sleep at his home. He was born April 22, 1927 in Canton, to the late William and Jessie (Hudson) Weaver. Donald was a life resident of the Canton area and a1945 graduate of Canton Township High School. He was a WWII Army Veteran. Donald retired from Republic Steel after 30 years of service and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey; one daughter, Kay; one granddaughter, Laura; two brothers, Howard and Paul. He is survived by his wife, Ruth (Ley) Weaver to whom he was married 60 years; three children and their spouses, Donald and Karen Weaver, Mike and Terri Weaver, Cindy and Rick Farber; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; three brothers, Karl, William and John Weaver; two sisters, Shirley Been and Carol Weaver. Funeral services will be Friday September 21, 2007 at 2:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home, Canton with Fr. Vincent T. Freeh, MSC officiating. Friends may call Thursday 6-8pm.
