Donald W. Steinbach
Don Steinbach, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away suddenly on January 12, 2008. Born in Canton, OH on August 30, 1930, he was the son of the late Clyde and Lora Steinbach. He was a 1948 graduate of Washington High School where he met the love of his life, Lois (Remley) Steinbach. For the past 31 years, he resided in Phoenix, AZ where he enjoyed the warm weather, visits from family and friends, and playing cards. He was a retired contractor. Don was admired for his patience, friendliness, and loving heart, which impacted numerous lives. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Steinbach. Surviving family includes his beloved wife of 57 years, Lois; his four children, Denny (Bonnie), Sheryl (Glenn) Black, Dave (Diane), and Carole Steinbach; nine grandchildren, Matt, Jason, Martha, Rachel, Kevin, and Tracy Steinbach, and Laura, Diana, and Glenn Black; and four great-grandchildren, Matthew, Morgan, Alexandria, and Adianna Steinbach. Don’s family extended far beyond his immediate relatives. Many considered him a father, brother, and Arizona Grandpa. Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 18, 2008 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Kevin Slyh officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call Thursday from 6-8 pm.
