Donald E. Reichard
Age 77, of Canton died Monday September 30, 2013 in Hennis Care Centre, Bolivar. Born December 1, 1935 in Canton, Ohio to the late Howard and Hilda (Warren) Reichard. He was a life resident of Canton South and a 1954 graduate of Canton South High School. Donald retired from Sugardale in 1990 with 32 years of service. He was a member of St Mary's/St. Benedict Catholic Parish and American Legion Post# 221 Massillon. He was a former member of Fraternal Order of Eagles #2374 Louisville, Springwood Lake Camp Grounds and the Magnolia Golf League for many years. Donald was an avid sports fan. He especially loved Notre Dame
Football and the Cleveland Indians. Preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Joe Briese and Stan Crilow. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Joan (Sickafoose) Reichard; four children and spouses, Richard and Cecilia Reichard of Reynoldsburg, OH, Tina and Dennis McCoy of Xenia, OH, Michael Reichard of Dayton, OH, Patrick Reichard of Massillon; two step-children and spouses, Beth and Roger Miller, Steven and Monica Lytle all of Canton; six grandchildren, twins Alison and Annette, Karl and Clara Reichard, Erin and Zachary McCoy; three step-grandchildren, Samantha Lytle, Taylor and Spencer Miller; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Briese and Dick Ross, Marilyn Clause and companion, Ray Vrable, Dorene and Joe Skirtich; special cousins, Jim and Helen Reichard; numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at 11:00 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church, 1602 Market Ave S., Canton, OH. 44707, with Fr. Benson Okpara as Celebrant. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday from 10:00 – 11:00 am. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's/St. Benedict Catholic Parish.
