Donald E. Ragon
Donald E. Ragon, age 89, of East Sparta, OH, passed away unexpectedly Sunday November 4, 2007 in Affinity Medical Center, Massillon, OH. He was born March 11, 1918 in Hunt City, IL, to the late Simon and Lydia (Mendenhall) Ragon. Donald was a life resident of the Canton area and upon retirement, he had resided in Sebring, FL. since 1988. Donald was a WWII Navy veteran having served on the USS Lexington at the time of its sinking and then served on the USS Nassau and the USS Henry Tucker He retired as owner/operator of the former Ragon Electric after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Howenstine Christian Church and the American Legion Post #25. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Ann Ragon in 1996; two sisters and five brothers. He is survived by his wife, Pamela J. (Bracken) to whom he was married 10 years; six children and their spouse, Michael and Kathy Ragon of Canton, Donald Jr. and Nancy Ragon of North Canton, J. Patrick and Sondra Ragon of Naples, FL, Bruce and Kathy Ragon of Willmington, NC, Mary Jo Reale of Mt. Pleasant, PA, Matthew and Stacy Ragon of Canton; 20 grandchildren and many great grandchildren; two step-sons, Robert Mills of Charlotte, NC, Brian and his wife, Stephanie Mills of Jackson, NJ. Funeral services will be Thursday November 8, 2007 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Chris Davis officiating. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Vital Ground Foundation at Building #2, Ft. Missoula Rd, Missoula, Montana 59804.
