Donald R. Phillips, Sr.
Donald R. Phillips, Sr., age 75, of Canton, OH, passed away, Friday, May 12, 2006, in his home, following an extended illness. He was a life resident of the Canton area, retiring from the Timken Co. in 1993 after 42 years of service. He was a member of Free Methodist Church, Canton. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother. Survived by his wife, Vivian (Kincaid) Phillips, to whom he was married 55 years; four sons and daughters-in-law, Donald, Jr. and Mary Phillips of Hanoverton, Stephen and Anita Phillips, Stanley and Hope Phillips, Lynn and Cyndi Phillips, all of Canton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Charles Morrison and Linnette and Bryan Clapper, all of Canton; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Nelson Joyce of Navarre. Private family graveside services will be Monday, May 15, 2006 in Sunset Hills Burial Park with Pastor Raymond Gill officiating. Friends and family will be received in the family home, Monday 2-6 p.m. The family requests no flowers. Memorial donations may be made to Aultman Hospice, 2821 Woodlawn NW, Canton, OH 44708. The Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. is handling arrangements.
