Donald E. Perry
Age 80, of Massillon, passed away Saturday September 3, 2011 in Affinity Medical Center of Massillon. He was born November 27, 1930 in Canton to the late Reginald G. and Lillian F. (LeClair) Perry. Donald was a life resident of the Canton and Massillon area and was a Korean War U.S. Air Force veteran. He retired from The Timken Company in 1982 after 30 years of service and was also employed by RTA-SARTA and the Massillon Municipal Court as a victim witness advocate. Donald was a member of Eden Church of the Brethren where he formerly served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher and various offices in the church. He was a member of Canton Lodge #60 F&AM where he was past-master, Scottish Rite Valley of Canton, 33rd Degree, Canton Toastmasters, and the Canton Amateur Radio Club for 33 years where had served as an officer. Donald is survived by his wife, Mary A. (Heid) to whom he was married 57 years; three daughters and a son-in-law, Glenda DeHoff of Massillon, Karen Perry of Canton, Sandra and Aaron Slutz of Perry Heights; five grandchildren, Donald, Jeanette, Jason, Emily and Joshua; one sister, Shirley Marchand of Canal Fulton. Funeral services will be Wednesday September 7, 2011 at 11:00am in Eden Church of the Brethren with Pastor David Bell officiating. Interment in Eden Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday 6-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Masonic services at 5:30pm and one hour before services on Wednesday at the church (10-11am).
