Donald "Doc" Ohler
Donald "Doc" Ohler, age 72, of Canton, died Wednesday March 21, 2007 in his home following an extended illness. He was born April 24, 1934 in Canton to the late Albert and Sarah (Pyle) Ohler. He was a life resident of the Canton area, retiring from Value City Furniture in 2004 after 15 years of service. Donald was formerly employed by Smith and Philips Furniture. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by twin granddaughters, Kaileigh and Nicole Lamp; five brothers, Melvin, Charles, James, Wayne and David Ohler. He is survived by his wife, Nancy J. (Robertson) to whom he was married 52 years; five children and their spouses, Donald II and Nel Ohler of Canton, William D. and Sheila Ohler of Canton, Lori Sue and Tony Weaver of East Sparta, Pat and Terry Lamp of Massillon, Brian and Lisa Ohler of Canton; 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; three brothers, William, Albert and Robert Ohler; two sisters, Betty Parsons and Nancy Crouser; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday March 24, 2007 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Ed Barnes officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery.
