Donald E. Morris

Age 83, of Canton, passed away Monday June 20, 2022 in his home following a brief illness. He was born November 12, 1938 in Quaker City, OH to the late Ira and Miriam (Johnson) Morris. Don was a 1958 graduate of Canton South High School and a Canton area resident most of his life. He retired from The Timken Company in 1995 after more than 36 years of service. He was a member of North Industry Christian Church, Golden Lodge #1123, Fraternal Order of Eagles #2370, and SOAR. He was inducted into the Fumble Ball Hall of Fame and had the pleasure of playing for several teams throughout the years. He was an avid Wildcat Basketball fan and a season ticket holder for more than 50 years. He is preceded in death by his son, Steve Morris; grandson, Gregory Morris. Don is survived by his wife, Sherryl L. (Eversole) to whom he was married 61 years; one daughter, Dayna (Rich) McNamara; one son, David (Mindy) Morris; daughter-in-law, Dianne Morris; four granddaughters, Melissa (Trent) McNamara, Natalie (Peyton) Morris, Allison (Alex) McNamara, Julie (Kole) Morris; one brother, Chuck (Kathy) Morris; one sister, Sandra (Ron) Baker. The family would like to thank Aultman Hospice and Aultman Compassionate Care for their wonderful care extended to Don. Funeral services will be Saturday June 25, 2022 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Delaney Young and Stephen Kimbrel officiating. Burial will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.
