Donald Lawver
Age 76, of East Sparta passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at his home with his family by his side following an extended illness. He was born March 1, 1937 in Canton, Ohio and was a life resident of the Canton/East Sparta area. Donald retired from Campbell Oil Company in 2001 and was formerly employed by Burrow Trucking and Mining. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Grace Lawver; three sisters and one brother. He is survived by his wife whom he celebrated 59 years of marriage, Mary Lou (Gilmore) Lawver; two daughters and son-in-law, Colleena and James Polsinelli, Jeania and Tim Mitchell all of East Sparta; one son and daughter-in-law, Donald Lee and Ronaele Lawver of East Sparta; three grandchildren and spouses, Angelina and Jesse Arntz, Angelo and Mindy Zbuka, Nicole Polsinelli; one step-granddaughter, Shana Mitchell; six great grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Shirley and Nick Lewis of Canton, Norma Powell of South Carolina; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Fr. Thomas Bishop officiating. Inurnment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service on Tuesday from 5-7 pm.
