Donald A. Knorzer Jr.
Age 88, of Canton, passed away Sunday April 12, 2015 in Aultman Hospital. He was born October 22, 1926 in Canton to the late Donald A. Sr. and Ruth (Royer) Knorzer. Donald is survived by one son, Gary Knorzer (Mary Morris) of Canton; one daughter, Donna Marie Knorzer (Marty Higginbotham) of California; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Phyllis Balleu, Pearl Naste and his sister-in-law, Fran Knorzer. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Knorzer in 2014; one brother, Dale Knorzer; one granddaughter, Crystal Elizabeth Coder. Don was a 1944 graduate of North Canton High School. Don served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII, Korean War and Vietnam, retiring in 1966. He was formerly employed by Sirco Management Corp. in California for 16 years. He returned to Ohio in 1979 and retired from Simco Management Corp. Don was a member of the St. Mary's/ St. Benedict Parish and he and his wife were the founders of St. Mary's Senior Citizens group. He was a member of the VFW Post #5047 and the Fleet Reserve Retired Armed Forces Association. A Memorial Mass will be Monday April 20, 2015 at 2:00pm in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton with Fr.
