Donald L. Kellogg

Age 91, of East Sparta, Ohio died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in his home following an extended illness. Born October 20, 1929 in Ceres, NY to the late Cecil and Julia (Wingard) Kellogg. He was an East Sparta resident for the past 53 years and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Donald was retired from the oil and gas drilling industry. He was a member of American Legion Post #44, Canton and was a lifetime VFW member. Donald loved drilling, hunting and fishing. Preceded in death by a daughter, Julia Jolly; three brothers, James, Robert and Thomas Kellogg; two sisters, Helen Carpenter and Muriel Montgomery. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Cecile M. (Dick) Kellogg; three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Ann Kellogg, Steven and Gretta Kellogg, Douglas Kellogg; seven grandchildren, Michelle Kellogg, Jessica (Mike) Didyk, Melinda Kellogg (Tim Kvasnicka), Zachary (Megan) Jolly, Ian (Corinna) Kellogg, Lisa Kellogg, Benjamin Kellogg; six great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 5, 2021 at 11:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Saturday from 10 – 11 am. Memorial donations may be made to American Legion Charities at www.legion.org.
