Donald J. Hickman, age 82, of Canton died Sunday December 10, 2006 in Manor Care following a brief illness. He was born February 22, 1924 in Canton to the late Jesse and Wilma (Derrick) Hickman. Donald was a life resident of the Canton area and a 1942 graduate of McKinley High School. He was a WWII Army Veteran where he was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. He was the Owner/Operator of the Canton Key Shop for 25 years and was a member of Canton R/C Club. He is survived by on son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Barbara Hickman of Wilmington, NC. Funeral services will be Thursday December 14, 2006 at 1:00pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Terry Bailey officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8pm in the funeral home. The family requests no flowers; memorial donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society at 5100 Peach St, Louisville, OH 44641, the American Diabetes Association at 1815 W.
