Donald H. Dotson
Age 76, of Canton, passed away Friday July 14, 2017 in his home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born January 10, 1941 in Grundy, VA to the late Roland and Laura (Sloan) Dotson. Donald retired from Canton Drop Forge and was a member of East Sparta Church of Christ. He is preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Donald is survived by his wife, Connie L. (Turner) Dotson to whom he was married 43 years; four sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Robin Dotson, Mark and Sharon Fisher, Joseph Dotson and Jason Dotson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, David (Dawn) Ward and Steve (Marlene) Ward; one sister, Mary (Tom) Conner. The family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for their wonderful care. Funeral services will be Tuesday July 18, 2017 at 11:00am in the Northwest Church of Christ with Chuck Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends will be received Monday 4-8pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before services on Tuesday at the church (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
