McGlothlin, Dolly R.
age 78, of Canton, passed from this life into the loving arms of her Lord on Monday June 1, 2009 in Aultman Hospital. She was born August 11, 1930 in Roane County, WV, to the late Isaac and Freda M. (Absher) O'Dell. She was a Canton area resident for more than 50 years and retired from The Village Inn after 23 years of service. She was a member of North Industry Christian Church. Dolly lovingly fulfilled her purpose in this life as a caregiver and nurturer of many. In this endeavor, she found happiness. Those who have shared her journey will forever treasurer the joy she brought to their lives. With her quick wit and simple speech Dolly charmed anyone she met. One could not help but love Dolly McGlothlin; her love continues in all who knew her and will remain in their hearts and minds forever. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. McGlothlin in 1986; three sisters, Katherine House, Frances Emogene O'Dell and Sue Jury; one brother, Lewis O'Dell. She is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Loretta and Hugh Gale of Massillon, Loredia and Clinton Bradshaw, Lorraine and Gregory Ray, Lisa and Michael Gillis all of Canton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Lewis and Loretta McGlothlin of Canton, Eddie and Lisa McGlothlin of Atwater, OH; 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Jim Easton of Parkersburg, WV; three brothers and sisters-in-law, David O'Dell of Indiana, John and Clarise O'Dell of Amma, WV, Donald and Geraldine O'Dell of Indiana. Funeral services will be Thursday June 4, 2009 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Steve Kimbrel officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
