Dixie "Sis" McCroskey, age 74, of East Canton died Monday morning with her family gathered by her side. Born in Deer Park, MD to the late Robert and Elsie (Paugh) Collins. She was an East Canton area resident for the past 44 years and formerly employed by Merritt Plastic for 13 years and DLH Industries for 3 years. Member of the German American Club. Also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. McCroskey in 1987; grandson, Jeffrey W. McCroskey in 1991 and three brothers. Survived by two sons and adaughter-in-law; Roger McCroskey of Canton, William and Karen McCroskey of Louisville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Rick Carlton of Carrollton; Doris and Rod Greaves of East Canton, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Joshua Todd officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Wednesday 5-8pm in the funeral homne. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Akron at 245 Locust St., Akron, OH 44320 or the Shriner's Hospital in memory of Jeffrey McCroskey to Kathy Chapman at 3229 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229.
