Deniece L. Barnes-Tedrick

Age 62, of Canton, passed away Thursday May 19, 2022 in Aultman Hospital. She was born May 18, 1960 in Canton to Larry L. and Virginia (Randall) Barnes. She was a 1978 graduate of Canton South High School and retired from the Stark County Sheriff Department in 2020 after 30 years of service. She is preceded in death by her father, Larry L. Barnes; two brothers, Ricky and Donnie Barnes; a special friend, Stephanie Thornton. Deniece is survived by her daughter, Deidra Harvey; grandson, Brayden Moore; her mother, Virginia Barnes; stepfather, Charles “Chuck” McFadden; longtime companion, Jimmie Brooks and his children, Jason and Jon Brooks; canine daughter companion, Bella; many special extended family members and good friends. Funeral services will be Monday May 23, 2022 at 10:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home with Pastor Timothy Prince officiating. Burial will be in Melscheimer Cemetery.
