Delores R Baker

Delores R. Baker age, 77, of East Sparta, Ohio passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Cleveland Clinic Akron General Campus.  She was born in Keyser, West Virginia, on December 6, 1946 to the late Orville and Ruth (O’Brien) Rounds. She was a 1963 graduate of Southern Garrett High School in Oakland, Maryland. 

Delores was a woman who loved her family and children, known affectionately to the children she babysat as “Doedoe.” She loved cooking and baking, and spent much of her time reading cook books and making something delicious for anyone who was hungry. She was known for her unending patience that extended to loved ones and strangers alike. Dolores always appreciated the little things.

Delores is preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Ruth; brother, David Rounds; granddaughter, Taylor Pullin.

Those left to cherish Delores’s memories are her husband of 60 years, Robert Baker; sons, Larry (Hope) Baker, Bobby (Tina) Baker; daughter, Debbie (Richard Jr.) Waikem; brother, Wayne (Rachell) Rounds; many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to DeVita Dialysis, Akron General Hospital, and Aultman Hospital for their constant compassionate care.

A memorial service for Dolores will be held at a later date.
