Dean V. Goodwill
Dean V. Goodwill, age 93, of Canton, passed away Tuesday October 16, 2007 in Aultman Hospital following a sudden illness. He was born April 19, 1914 in Macksburg, OH, to the late William and Anna E. (Clark) Goodwill. Dean was a 1933 graduate of Macksburg High School and a Canton area resident most of his life. He retired from Quickdraft Corporation in 1982 after 17 years of service, prior to which he was employed by Irwin Steel Fabricators. He was a former member of Five Points Church of God. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tonnie Rae Goodwill. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis R. (Hoover) to whom he was married 67 years; four children and their spouses, William and Barbara Goodwill of Plant City, FL, Keith L. and Mollie Goodwill of Waynesburg, Linda and Chris Snyder of Jackson Twp., Robert Goodwill of Canton; 11 grandchildren, Doug, Duane, Michelle, Angela, Matthew, Megan, Dustin, Paul, Steven, Melissa and Jessie; 17 great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Aultman Hospital staff on 5 south for their compassion and kindness. Funeral services will be Friday October 19, 2007 at 11:00am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. with Pastor Matthew Diehl officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park.
