Dawn M. Changet
Age 41, of East Canton, passed away Monday May 9, 2011 in her home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 23, 1970 in Canton to Robert and Jo Ann (Gimroth) Shroyer Sr. Dawn was a life resident of East Canton and a 1988 graduate of East Canton High School. She was formerly employed as a nurse with J.T. Nist, Aultman Hospital and St. Joseph Care Center. She was a member of the East Canton Church of God. Dawn had assisted with both the youth and high school cheerleading; she was a great cook, loved to shop and was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Melvin and Alma Shroyer, John and Hazel Gimroth. She is survived by her husband, Christopher Changet to whom she was married 14 years; two daughters, Devin Young and Cameran Changet both of East Canton; one son, Dillon Young of East Canton; one granddaughter, Gianna Young; her parents, Robert and Jo Ann Shroyer Sr. of East Canton; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Susan Shroyer Jr. of East Canton; one sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Joseph Eckroate of East Canton; mother-in-law, Florence Changet of Louisville; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. The family would like to thank her niece, Cara Birone for her care and assistance throughout Dawn's illness. Funeral services will be Friday May 13, 2011 at 11:00am in the East Canton Church of God with Pastor Michael Jones officiating. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Thursday 5-8pm in the Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton and one hour before services at the church on Friday (10-11am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Aultman School of Nursing at 2600 6th St SW, Canton, OH 44710.
