David L. Waid
Age 84, of Canton went home to be with the Lord Saturday, June 17, 2017 in Aultman Hospital. Born June 27, 1932 in Meadville, PA. to the late Lester and Lela (Clinefelter) Waid. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran. David retired from Hercules Engines after 22 years of service. He attended Liberty Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jane Waid; two daughters, Valerie Sue Gaetano and Terilynn Hunter: one sister, Gloria Dessecker. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty M. (Hockensmith) Waid; two sons and daughter-in-law, Eric Waid, Jeffrey and Amy Waid; one daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Hanely Sivits; 16 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Clifford and Patricia Waid. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at 10:00 am in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave with Mark Black officiating. Interment in Melscheimer Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 pm.
