David W. Thompson

David Wayne Thompson was born in Cumberland, MD. On September 27, 1953 and passed away on October 11, 2024 in Canton, Ohio where he lived most of his life. David was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a passion for reading anything dealing with hunting and trapping in the far North American forests. David was kind and generous towards friends and strangers alike. David lived a simple life and was not consumed with amassing possessions. 

David is proceeded in death by both parents Robert and Shirley (McCusker) Thompson.

David leaves behind two sons and a daughter Robert (Amy) Thompson, Josh Thompson and Annamae Thompson. A brother Rick (Sue) Thompson, A sister Ledeina (Rick) Pratt. He also leaves behind many grandchildren, and numerus nieces and nephews and his furry companion and best friend Leroy.

In accordance with David’s wishes, no services will be held at this time. A celebration of his life is planned for next summer. Please check back for updates as the date approaches.

David will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
