David A. Simon
Age 76, of Magnolia died Friday February 19, 2016 in Community Hospice House following an extended illness. Born April 20, 1939 in Gypsum, Ohio to the late Dale and Teresa (Novosalic) Simon. He was a Magnolia resident since 2000 prior to which he resided in North Canton. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran. David was retired from the Hoover Company in 1999 with 26 years of service. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity, Bolivar, Knight of Columbus and the Mineral City American Legion. David was a western style square dance caller for 25 years. Preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Simon. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary L. (Blaskis) Simon; one daughter, Lori Bushong of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Heather Kiser, Matt Bushong(Jill), Brandyn Bushong; five great grandchildren, Ethan, Nicholas, Devin, Arista and Alex; one sister, Vicki Sartin of Port Clinton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, Feb 23, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Church of the Holy Trinity, 1835 Dover-Zoar Rd NE, Bolivar, OH. 44612, with Fr Edward Keck as Celebrant. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on South Cleveland Ave. Memorial donations may be made to the American Brian Tumor Assoc.
