David W. "Wes" Rupert
David W. "Wes" Rupert, age 49, of Canton died Saturday, December 13, 2008 in University Hospital of Cleveland following an extended illness. Born January 19, 1959 in Huntingdon, PA. to Charles E. and Joyce A. (McGinnis) Rupert. He was a Canton area resident most of his life and a 1976 graduate of Canton South High School. He was co-owner/operator of FRI Roofing and a member of Union Local #88. Wes was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of Jefferson County and Wells Township Sportsman Clubs. Preceded in death by one son, Greg Rupert; one brother, Dan Rupert. Survived by his wife of 31 years, Sheri A. (Wise) Rupert; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Heather Rupert of Canton; one daughter, Shawna Rupert of the home; two grandchildren, Chase and Avery Rupert both of Canton; his parents, Charles and Joyce Rupert of Carrollton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeff and Lynn Rupert of Massillon, Don and Danelle Rupert of Arizona; one sister, Ginny Baxter of Canton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008 at 11:00 am in Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3828 Cleveland Ave. S.W., Canton, OH. 44707, with Rev. Diana L. Thompson officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 pm in the Kreighbaum-Sanders funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the church from 10 – 11am.
