David D. Ream
David D. Ream, age 79, of Canton, died Tuesday, October 12, 2004, in Aultman Hospital following an extended illness. Son of the late Charles and Janet (Wilkinson) Ream. Dave was a life resident of Canton and a 1942 graduate of Canton Township High School. A WWII Marine Corps veteran and life member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, where he had served as a Superintendent, Trustee and Head Usher. He retired from Canton Township as Road Superintendent in 2000 after 48 years of service and formerly served as Zoning Inspector. Dave was a life long farmer and a member of Ohio Township Association, Canton South Community Men's Club and the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club. He is also preceded in death by one son, Richard Ream in 1995; one sister, Mary Jane Wacker and two brothers, John and Robert Ream. Dave was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Mildred (Sedlock) Ream, two sons and daughters-in-law; Ronald and Linda Ream of West Palm Beach, FL, Robert and Beth Ream of Canton, one daughter, Susan Worley of St. Petersburg, FL, six grandchildren; Brandon, Beau, Braun, Bethany, Kimberlie and Ron, two great grandchildren, three sisters and a brother-in-law; Harriet Ream, Doris Dutter, Elizabeth and Kenneth Schemp all of Canton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, October 18, 2004 in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church with Dr. Earl Bailey officiating. Interment in Sandy Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 5-8 pm in Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home on S. Cleveland Ave. and one hour before services on Monday at the church (10:00-11:00 am). In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Mt. Zion UMC at 2637 Baum St SE, Canton, OH 44707.
