David R. Mehler
Age 68, of East Sparta, passed away unexpectedly Friday August 19, 2016 in Aultman Hospital. He was born November 15, 1947 in Ann Arbor, MI. to the late Ralph and Irene (Papp) Mehler. He was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. David retired from Detroit Diesel after 42 years of service and was a member of Moreland Christian Church. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his brother, Howard Mehler. He is survived by his wife, Lori J. (Miller) to whom he was married 22 years; one daughter, Michelle Schnider; two grandchildren, Shawn and Nicholas Mehler; one great-grandson, Liam Mehler; one sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and William Hammons; sister-in-law, Marie Mehler. A memorial service will be conducted Tuesday August 23, 2016 at 6:00pm in Moreland Christian Church 2850 Waynesburg Dr. SE, Canton, OH 44707 with his brother-in-law, Rick Miller officiating.
