David K. Landers
David K. Landers, age 65, of East Canton, died Friday January 21, 2005, in Doctors Hospital. Son of the late Albert G. and Pearl (Hennebert) Landers. He was an East Canton resident since 1969, prior to which he was a life resident of Bellaire, OH. David retired from Pinkerton Security in 1997 and was formerly employed by TRW Customer Service and Dataserv Computer Maintenance. Member of Canton Baptist Temple, American Sportsman's Club, NWTF Sippo Valley Long Beards, Stark County and Ohio Gun Collectors, DAV Chapter #50 of Alliance. Life member of the NRA and past president of the Stark County and Ohio Federation of Conservation Clubs, State certified Hunter Education Instructor, served as a volunteer for the McKinley Museum and was a US Air Force Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Deanna R. (Chapman) to whom he married in1962; three daughters and sons-in-law, Dianne and Jim Bates of East Canton, Donna and Ron Riggs of Canton, Denise Ryder of East Canton; four grandchildren, Joshua Ryder, Daniel, Michael and Bethany Riggs; one aunt, Martha Francisco of Canton. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00am in the Myers-Kreighbaum-Sanders Funeral Home in East Canton with Rev. Delaney Young officiating. Interment will be Monday at 3:00pm in Belmont Memorial Park, St. Clairsville, OH. Friends may call Sunday 5-9pm in the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to American Red Cross Stark County Disaster Fund at 2213 Cleveland Ave. N., Canton, OH 44709 or to the Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund at 3741 Fohl St SW., Canton, OH 44706.
