David Paul Koehler
David Paul Koehler, age 76, of Massillon, died Tuesday February 12, 2008 in Country Lawn Care Center, Navarre, where he received excellent care. Dave was born in North Industry, OH, to the late Herb and Lottie (White) Koehler. Dave was a devout member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church where he was the first worship deacon, sang in the choir, choir director, served on church council and taught Sunday school. He truly loved his Lord, Jesus Christ. He was a 1949 graduate of Canton Township High School and was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran having served in Eta Jima, Japan, as a communications instructor. Dave was a member of the Canton Entertainers, entertaining at nursing homes and special events. He retired from North Central Tire, formerly Bowlus Tire. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Lois (Schaeffer) Koehler; one son, Mark Koehler; one daughter and son-in-law, Lise` and Robert Berquist; one aunt, Willamina "Aunt Minnie" White; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Saturday February 16, 2008 at 11:00am in Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Diana Thompson and Pastor Mark Williams off
