David M. Hutton, Sr., 77, of Canton, died in Green Meadows Skilled Nursing and Rehab following an extended illness.
Born on Jan. 14, 1946, in Canton, he was a son of the late James and Theresa Hutton. A graduate of Glenwood High School, he also received training during his career at the Timken Co., where he worked as a millwright supervisor. He also was a private pilot and certified flight instructor. He had been a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the East Central Ohio Pilots Association. He also was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce (Morrison) Hutton, one son, James Joseph Hutton, and a brother, James E. Hutton.
Surviving are three sons, David (Arionne) Hutton, of Canton; Dennis (Tricia) Hutton, of Wilmington, N.C.; and Daniel (Christine) Hutton, of Ponce de Leon, Fla.; 12 grandchildren, including Echo Victoria Hutton, who lived with them; 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, Ronald (Kathy) Hutton, of Loris, S.C.; a brother-in-law, David (Debby) Morrison, of East Sparta; sister-in-law, Sheila (David) Reed, of East Canton; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Morrison and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Per David's wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northern Ohio Chapter, 425 Literary Road, Ste 100, Cleveland, Ohio 44113 or the Democratic National Committee, 430 South Capitol Street SE, PO Box 96585, Washington DC, 20077-7242.
